Pretty Girl Motorsports has manifested from years of Laila's experience of being the only woman in the room. From early childhood to adulthood, whether it was at racetracks, car shows, in the engineering or trade school classroom, she always wished to see more women around her. After a trip to a major racing parts store in the Summer of 2023 and witnessing the lack of feminine merchandise on display, Laila slowly started to put together the leading thoughts that later became Pretty Girl Motorsports.
From restoring and publicly documenting two, 1960s Ford Mustangs in her late teen years to early 20s, Laila quickly learned that there are more women out there who enjoy automotive tinkering and motorsports. As an individual who has experienced restorations, a bachelor's in mechanical engineering, an in-progress certification in the trades, and has plans to pursue a master's in electrical engineering, she knows that it does not matter who you are. It’s your passion and what you carry in your heart.
Pretty Girl Motorsports exists to let other girls and women know that there’s always a seat at the table; we made sure to save a spot for them.
